Meet our new consortium partner: Revolt SRL!

With the adoption of our new demo site Osimo, two new partners have joined the consortium.

We sat down with Enrico Marchegiani from Revolt –  a young and rapidly growing company eager to bring digital innovation within companies, and asked them a few questions about their involvement in the project.

1. Tell us something about your experience in the field

Revolt SRL is dedicated to promote local renewable energy communities by integrating innovative digital solution to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. Our team has extensive experience in the energy context, focusing on system integration, AI solution development, characterisation algorithm implementation, EMS development and community engagement to optimise energy systems.

2. What is your role in the project?

Revolt SRL’s role in the project is to develop and implement a blockchain-based P2P energy trading platform, facilitating efficient and transparent energy transactions within local renewable energy communities and fostering self-consumption through consumers engagement.

3. What do you hope to get out of it?

We aim to enhance our technological solutions and expand our expertise in renewable energy systems. We hope to contribute significantly to sustainable energy transformations and establish stronger partnerships within the sector.

4. What do Renewable Energy Communities mean to you?

Renewable Energy Communities represent a shift towards decentralised, sustainable energy management, where communities collectively produce, share, and manage renewable energy resources, enhancing local resilience and reducing carbon footprints.

5. What is a unique feature of LocalRES?

A unique feature of LocalRES is its focus on empowering renewable energy communities by promoting local energy consumption and enhancing grid stability. By engaging consumers in trading energy and emphasising shared energy responsibility, LocalRES strengthens the local grid, making it more resilient and sustainable.

6. What would you expect from the incoming EU institution representatives when it comes to fostering energy communities?

We expect EU representatives to support policy development, provide financial incentives, and simplify regulations to foster the growth of energy communities. Additionally, their engagement in promoting research and innovation will be crucial for advancing sustainable energy solutions.
