Adapting to challenges – Ispaster is commited to the green transition.

The church in Ispaster has chosen not to pursue involvement with the project. However, this is a turn, not a stop, for the municipality. In 2023, 95% of the funds derived from the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, so the money still needs to be spent in greening the municipality’s energy supply.

The alternative was to install 40kWp of PV [around 80 panels], four towers of Lithium batteries totaling 260kw/h capacity [which will be presented to access the funds on the 2024 budget for the Provincial Council] and two inverters on the fields near the local school involved in the original project.

The municipality has already started a contest to select who will be installing these and this is prospected to happen in the spring.
